Conures are a group of small to medium sized parrots that originate from Central and South America. They are a diverse group of colorful birds. They are capable of learning to talk, and are playful and can be taught tricks. These birds are intelligent and have excellent personalities. Their diet consists of pellets, fruits, vegetables, and nuts. They reach maturity by 3 years, the number of eggs laid is 4-5, and the incubation period is 24-28days. They have a life span of 15 to 25 years and some species can even live up to 35 years.
