A rabbit hutch measuring 5 feet (150cm) in length and 2 feet (60cm) in height and width is the ideal size for one or two small to medium sized rabbits.
Fiber is a vital part of the rabbit�s diet, as it promotes the normal function of the digestive system. Fresh grass hay and vegetables should make up the bulk of the diet. Pellets are also good in moderation.
Female rabbits will normally live happily together provided they are introduced at an early age. Neutered rabbits of opposite or same sexes can be housed together. Rabbits are sociable and like the company of one another, but they should be introduced to each other early in life.
Rabbits should not be bred before they are six months old. The gestation period is 28-32 days. Always put the doe in the bucks cage for breeding, not vice versa. Return the doe to her own cage soon after mating. A doe will make a nest for her babies by plucking out her hair, baby rabbits are born hairless and blind.
Rabbits live on average approx 6yrs.
