Bulldogs for sale

First impressions would certainly not endear one to this fearsome looking canine, whose appearance gives nothing away of its truly affectionate and gentle nature. This dog wants to be part of the family, thriving on lots of attention and company. They can on occasions be stubborn and are not over demonstrative. They do not require too much exercise, though a daily walk would certainly be beneficial.

These muscular dogs are broad and low set weighing 22-25kgs. The short coat can be in a range of colours. Special attention must be given to the extra folds of skin around the dog’s face which will need to be cleaned daily to avoid any excoriation or irritation. The Bulldog does not adjust well to hot weather. This would need to be monitored to ensure the dog does not overheat. The physical structure of the dogs face can cause airway obstruction and breathing difficulties.

Selective breeding programs are helping to eliminate some of the many health issues that can present. The major cause for death is cardiac conditions. They are also prone to eye irritations, and hip dysplsia. Eczema can also be apparent particularly in the folds of skin.

The life expectancy is 8-10 years.
