The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has become extremely popular. It makes an ideal companion dog, as it is undemanding and affectionate. They suit an urban environment as they are content to just be at home, but also willing to exercise and enjoy a walk. They are endearing little dogs with a desire to please their owners. There are not usually any marked behavioural problems. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are prone to heart disease, and hip dysplasia. There are four recognized colours - the Blenheim, the Tri Colour, the Ruby and the Black and Tan.
