Toy Poodles for sale

The poodle is considered to be the most intelligent breed of dog. There are three types of Poodles, the Standard, Miniature and Toy Poodles. The Toy Poodles are devoted to their owners and make wonderful companions. They are affectionate sensitive little dogs with lots of bounce and fun loving. The Toy Poodle is not suited to little children whom they can feel threatened by.

Early training to control unwanted behavior is quickly rewarded with positive reinforcement and consistent handling. They will need a short daily walk.

The Toy Poodle is about 25- 28cm in height and weighs 2-4 kgs. They are beautiful little dogs with an endearing expression. They have a thick curly coat in a wide range of colours. They will need to be brushed daily. Their coats need clipping every 4-6 weeks, which can become expensive if the dog is placed in shows and needs professional grooming to meet the requirements of the breed. Their coats do not shed and are therefore hypoallergenic and suited to allergy sufferers.

The Toy Poodle is generally a healthy dog. However on occasions it can suffer from Progressive Retinal Atrophy, and their ear canals can get yeast infections or ear mites. Their life expectancy is about 15 years
